Meet Susan Roush McClenaghan at GIE+EXPO, October 24-26, 2012

Susan Roush-McClenaghan will be at GIE+EXPO October 24-26, 2012 at the Kentucky Expo Center to sign autographs and talk about her propane powered Ford Mustang.

Taking to the track in 2006, Susan made her competition debut on the drag racing strip in Bradenton, FL.  In 2009, Roush-McClenaghan became the first female to win the NMRA/NMCA Super Bowl of Street Legal Drag Racing. This past year, 2011, she was named NMCA National Champion 2011. This car has proven propane and racing a winning combination.

AmeriGas/Metro Lawn is a proud sponsor of Susan Roush-McClenaghan and her race car, a 2010 propane powered Ford Mustang. Stop by and meet Susan Roush-McClenaghan at the Metro Lawn/AmeriGas Autogas booth #11190 at the GIE+EXPO this Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Roush-McClenaghan 2010 ROUSH Ford Mustang, NHRA Super Stock legal chassis, is a Ford 5.4L modular engine bored and stroked to 374 c.i.d. (stock is 331 c.i.d.) Her car uses an all-aluminum 5.4L, V-8 Ford engine that was originally designed for the Ford GT supercar. This engine is naturally-aspirated with a 12.5:1 compression ratio. Several other changes were required to run on ordinary liquid propane, including CNC ported cylinder heads, high performance camshaft and valve train, and a wet sump lubrication system, all of which helps these liquid propane-power engines to generate in excess of 750 horsepower.

AmeriGas and Metro Lawn are proud to support Susan Roush-McClenaghan successful racing team as they champion propane and its efficiency. Propane and racing has been a proven winner!
